Ana Ivette Ortiz

Born in New York, NY on August 27, 1959, to Anna Mercado Santos and Luis Ortiz, Ana spent her life dedicated to her family and friends. Always a loyal and valued worker, Ana loved her job and worked hard at AY-Host Paper as a Payroll Accountant before having to leave her work due to poor health. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren, drawing, baking, reading, listening to music, especially salsa, and playing bingo with friends. She read her Bible daily and found guidance and great strength in her love, loyalty, and devotion to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ana’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. She leaves behind a multitude of loved ones including her children Melissa (Freddy) Troncoso and Frank (Juana) Ulerio, her grandsons Adrian Troncoso, Stalyn Mina Ulerio, Matthew Ulerio, Elijah Ulerio and Benjamin Ulerio, her siblings Marybelle (Jose) Reyes and Louis (Carmen) Ortiz, her nephews Albert Linares and Marcelo Ortiz, and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Anna Mercado Santos, her maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Ana’s life will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Katy Funeral Home located at 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, TX 77494. All friends and family are welcome to attend the service and are also invited to share memories, photos, and leave condolences on this website. Flowers and memorial gifts are appreciated but not necessary.
