Anamaris Elina Rodriguez-Madera

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Anamaris Elina Rodriguez-Madera, 19, of Houston Texas, who left us unexpectedly on Sunday, June 28th, 2026. Born on July 26, 2006 in Houston TX, she was the cherished daughter of Renee Damaris Madera, and Jose Francisco Rodriguez Castillo.

Anamaris, or Coti, as we liked to call her, was both precious and precocious.

A songbird from early on, and truly a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her.

She was intelligent, articulate, and wise beyond her years. Her family and friends will miss her laugh, her profound intellect, the way she could carry a room.

She had a depth and a grasp of social dynamics unusual for someone so young.

Anamaris was a 2024 graduate of Morton Stine Ranch High School, and she was known for her vibrant personality and infectious laugh. She had a deep passion for singing, performing, drawing, and creating in general. She was a fearless performer, singing and dancing and acting in front of massive crowds. She carried this fearlessness with her throughout her life. She was and is a force of nature.

To name just a couple of performances among many; She performed for the Himno Nacional De Republica Dominicana, as well as Negro National Anthem for Black History Month for Missouri City TX.

To know Coti was to love her, and we will never ever be able to forget the wide eyed, serious baby, the lovable, huggable toddler whose smile lit up a room, the bright and energetic little girl, the teen with the fiery personality, and the young woman who was so full of charm, wit and deep thoughts. At every age, we were blessed by Coti’s brilliance, by her boundless talents and her extraordinary mind.

Above all, Anamaris will be remembered for her kind heart, her fierce loyalty to her friends, and the deep love she had for her family. Coti was the rare person who both loved to laugh and stood up for what she believed in. She had your back; she had a seat for you at her table. She was always a phone call away. Her friends and family celebrate how beautifully she could love and admire her ability to speak her truth.

But if Coti possessed the energy, talent, and wit of an artist, she also excelled at the quieter art of being a friend, a cousin, a sibling, a daughter. She always made time for the people in her life, whether young or old. For many years she sat with her great grandmother Caridad and spoke with her in Spanish. She also loved to dote on her younger cousins and facetime with her baby nephew. She brought boundless joy and warmth into our lives, and her memory will live on in our hearts forever. We will think of her in the songs she sang, the art she breathed life into–and whenever we see a butterfly.

She was preceded in death by her sister Gianna Renee Gonzales-Madera and Grandfather Severino Rodriguez.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 9th, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel, 4656 N Fry Rd. Katy TX 77449 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm . All who knew and loved Anamaris are welcome to attend and celebrate the beautiful, bright life she lived. In honor of her vibrant personality, the family kindly asks attendees to wear something colorful.
