Angel Nicole Harper

Angel Nicole Harper, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend departed this world February 14, 2024. Angel was born August 5, 1977 in Port Arthur, Texas to Anthony Jean and Peggy Bradley Jean.

Angel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Houston. She pursued a career in the field of insurance and did her work unto the Lord. Angel loved the Lord and worked in His vineyard being baptized into Christ at a young age. She began a non-profit organization, “A Family’s Angel,” in support of widows and orphans. She nurtured and leaves her mark on her daughter Meagan, a junior at Baylor University, as a strong Christian who continues on the path.

Angel had a love of reading, cooking and with her witty sense of humor, loved to laugh and make others laugh, and laugh, and laugh. And while it was expected Angel would bring levity literally to each person she met, she was generous enough to share her wisdom, and demonstrate application of God’s word, with those around her, daily. Angel was a true “daddy’s girl,” but her mother's nickname for her was Desert Flower because she said she was rare in her wisdom even at a young age.

Angel had a zest for life and wanted to live a long life for her family, but the Lord saw fit to call His Angel home. Two of the many favorite scriptures of Angel were, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things." (Philippians 4:8) and "Draw near to God and he will draw near to you." (James 4:8). Words from God that carried her through this physical life, yet her soul lives forever with the One who died for her.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 16 years, Martinez Harper, daughters Meagan Hayes and Heaven Harper, son Martinez Jr., her parents, sister Amanda and her husband Rashad Bullock, brother Aaron Jean, a close circle of cousins, and host of family and friends.
