Barbara Ann Pecore

Barbara grew up in Pleasantville and Fifth Ward, Texas. She attended Phillis Wheatley High School and later attended Texas Southern University.

For 50 years, Barbara served as a Mail Carrier with the United States Postal Service. Over the course of her long and dedicated career, she received many awards recognizing her years of faithful service.

Barbara found joy in dancing, listening to music, and, most of all, spending time with her family. A favorite pastime was watching westerns—an enduring comfort she enjoyed time and again.

Barbara will be remembered as a loving and caring woman who would help anyone in need. She cherished her children and grandchildren deeply and held a sincere hope to see them succeed. In moments when encouragement was needed, Barbara offered steady, uplifting words, leaving others strengthened by her kindness. Her life will continue to be celebrated for the love she so freely gave to those around her.

Barbara is survived by Lois Pecore, daughter; Bryanna Pecore, granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
