Betty L. Newbury Hunter

Betty Louise Hunter, Age 69, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2014 in Katy, Texas after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Betty was retired from Entrust, Inc. after 30+ years of employment and had a lifetime passion for collecting and making dolls. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell Newbury Sr. and Helen Newbury-Bibb; brothers Darrell Newbury Jr. and Robert Newbury; her sister Darlene Borsch and great-granddaughter Olivia Frizzell. She is survived by her loving husband Larry Hunter; children Jason Hunter (Crystal), David Daniel (Renee’), Kim Matarazzo (Richard); grandchildren: Taylor Frizzell (Josh), Phillip Clark, Wade Hunter and Madelyn Hunter, Jenna Hunter; great-grandchild, Hailey Frizzell; sisters Patsy Jones (Roy) and Lettie Stanley (George); brother Walter Newbury (Susan); stepchildren Jeff Hunter and Kristen Major.

The family would like to thank the staff at Vantage Hospice for their loving care as well as numerous friends and family for their love and support. Services will be Saturday, July 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Katy Funeral Home.
