

Blake Peterson, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2024 at the age of 33. He was born in Midland, Texas, and grew up in Katy, TX. He spent much of his life enjoying the things he loved most: the great outdoors, his passions for motorcycles, cars, hiking, cooking, camping, and spending time with his wife, family and friends.
A proud graduate of Katy High School and Texas Tech University, Blake worked as a Project Well Engineer. He was known for his sharp mind, dedication to his work, and his easygoing, friendly demeanor. His passion for problem-solving extended to his hobbies, where he found joy in working on vehicles, metal detecting, and cooking delicious meals for those he cared about.
On May 5th, 2019, Blake eloped with the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Lucia Sonia Peterson, in the scenic Texas Hill Country. Their marriage was a testament to their hard earned love and commitment to one another. The couple, along with their dog Mishka, created a welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Blake was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Peterson; his grandmother, Judith Peterson; his grandfather, Ralph Peterson; and his maternal grandparents, Emelia and Cruz Avalos.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Lucia Peterson; his father, Erik Peterson; his brother, Kent Peterson; his sister-in-law, Lanise Mireles; his niece, Sophia Mireles; his father-in-law, Jose Luz Rodriguez; his mother-in-law, Flavia Rodriguez; his brother-in-law, Pedro Rodriguez; his uncle Ted Johnson and his wife Harriet; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who will all miss him dearly.
Blake was known for his kindness, his willingness to lend a hand, and his infectious smile and sense of humor. He lived life to the fullest and cherished the time he spent outdoors, admiring the stillness of tranquil nature, exploring new places, and creating memories with those he loved.
His legacy of warmth, goofiness, good heartedness, adventure, and love will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Blake will be forever missed by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life.
