1936 – 2019, Brixon W. Vergel, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, March 21, 2019, at Methodist Hospital in Katy, Texas. Brixon was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on March 20, 1936, the Third child of the late Ignacio Vergel and Georgina Rivera. Brixon had eight brothers and sisters. Brixon lived most of his life in Venezuela. He got married to his high school sweetheart in December of 1959 and they raised a family together. Brixon attended Zulia University in Maracaibo, Venezuela where he obtained a degree as a CPA. His first job was in the Oil and Gas industry with Mene Grande in Maracaibo, Venezuela, working as a finance associate. Brixon worked most of his life in the Banking industry. In 2015, Brixon came to the United States with his wife in search of a better quality of life which he found in Houston, TX. Brixon is survived by his wife, Nila Sanchez de Vergel, one Daughter and her husband, Johanna (Robert) Meith; two sons and their wives, Jean (Sabrina) and Leonel (Zulay) Vergel; his four grandchildren, Maria Victoria, Gabriella, Samantha and Nicholas. He also leaves behind two sisters Mary and Sol Marina; four sisters-in-law Hilda, Dora, Marina and Nancy and one brother-in-law, Tadeus of the Woodlands, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
