Brooke Roosma Duree, 53, of Sealy, Texas, passed away on April 15, 2026. Born on November 15, 1972, to Bradley and Nancy Roosma, Brooke was a lifelong Texan who grew up in Missouri City and built a life centered on family, faith, and community.
She graduated from Dulles High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Business Management from Lone Star College. Brooke worked as a dedicated project facilitator for HDR Inc., where she was respected for her strong work ethic and determination.
In 2000, Brooke married the love of her life, Jeffrey Duree. Together they built a family that became the center of her world. She was a devoted mother to Cheyenne Barnett and Cody Duree, and a proud “Mimi” to her granddaughter, Harper Barnett, with another grandchild expected in September.
Brooke had a deep love for life’s simple joys. She enjoyed live country music, shopping, gardening, reading, and cheering on University of Texas football. She even started a local book club, bringing people together through her love of reading. She treasured vacations to Orange Beach, Alabama, and gave her time generously as a volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for over 20 years.
Her faith was an essential part of who she was, and she found great purpose in serving her church and praising Jesus. Brooke will be remembered for her incredible baking, her contagious laughter, and her ability to be a steady shoulder for anyone in need. Her unwavering spirit and genuine kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bradley E. Roosma.
Brooke is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Duree; her daughter, Cheyenne Barnett, and son-in-law, Aaron Barnett; her son, Cody Duree; her granddaughter, Harper Barnett, and a grandson expected in September; her mother, Nancy Roosma; her siblings, Bradley Roosma II (Tracy) , Laurie Anne Roosma-McElreath (Todd), and Holly Roosma; Nieces and Nephews, Taryn Long (Will), Carson Nuner (Brady), Cole Roosma, and Grant Roosma; as well as her beloved chocolate lab, Millie.
Brooke’s life was a testament to love, faith, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Brooke's Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 4th from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Reception to Follow on Monday, May 4th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
