

Charlotte Elaine Little, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Houston Methodist Continuing Care Hospital in Katy. Charlotte was born September 19, 1948 in Paris, Texas to John William Duncan and Betty Jo Duncan. She is preceded in death by her aforementioned parents, husband, Danny Roy Little, and sons, Stephen Kirk Little and Michael Kirk Little.
Charlotte is survived by her son, James Christopher Little, and his wife Sally Swearingen Little; her daughter, Catherine Danielle Little; and her beloved grandson, Roy Earl Swearingen IV. In addition, she is survived by Bill and Carol Duncan, Charlie Duncan, Sandy and Steve Badeaux, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlotte and Danny were married on July 29, 1966 in Houston, Texas and continued to celebrate their love for the next 58 years until Danny’s passing in 2024. Three months after marriage, Danny was drafted into the Army, putting a two-year hold on their aspirations of starting a family until his return home from service overseas in Korea. After the loss of two sons at birth, they were finally blessed with the birth of Christopher in 1979 and Catherine in 1981. Charlotte was a devoted wife and mother, always putting her family at the forefront of her thoughts and actions.
From a career standpoint, Charlotte worked for Fulbright and Jaworski Law Firm from 1966 until Christopher’s birth in 1979. Charlotte truly loved her time there, and spoke often of her experiences and cherished lifelong friendships that were forged while there. Upon Christopher’s birth, Charlotte chose the full-time job of stay-at-home mom where she built the solid foundation for Christopher and Catherine that would last a lifetime. Charlotte re-entered the workforce in the mid 1990’s, serving as the Recruiter / Registrar for Saint Anne’s Catholic School for several years, before moving into a role as an Executive Recruiter with a large international executive staffing firm.
Upon Charlotte’s retirement, she enjoyed traveling whenever possible. Her favorite places to visit were the Black Hills of South Dakota, Disney World, and Dubai. Most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494, US, on June 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, US, on June 16, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
