Christopher Ray Perez

Christopher Ray Perez, 35, passed away March 6, 2015. He was born on October 28, 1979 in San Antonio, Texas. Chris joined the United States Marine Corps shortly after graduation in 1998. In his younger years he was a boyscout. After leaving the military, he pursued his career as a firefighter in Pearland, Texas. In 2008, Chris was awarded a fireman of the year award for his bravery and heroism. He continued his education at San Jacinto community college where he received his associates degree. As a certified EMT, Chris has obtained many other awards and honors. Chris was an extremely talented artist with a brilliant mind. He enjoyed playing the drums, riding his motorcycle, and other outdoor activities. His favorite meal was breakfast, often eating it for dinner. Chris is definitely known for his sense of humor. Chris is survived by his loving mother, Marina Perez; sisters Crystal Jones and Cassandra Perez; and father, Jesse Perez. Along with his children, family and friends. We would like to extend a special thank you to our family and friends for all the love, support, condolences, and kind gestures. It means a lot to our family during this difficult time and we greatly appreciate it. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Chris.
