Claud Perry Vass, Jr., age 68, died Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Katy, Texas. Mr. Vass had a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Texas A&M University where he played baseball. He was a member and avid golfer of Briarcrest Country Club and a 64 year member of First Baptist Church. He had been a coach and teacher for the Bryan Independent School district for over 22 years. Coach Vass was very involved in basketball, baseball and football at BISD. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, dancing, music and family.
He was preceded in death by parents, Evelyn Christine and Claud Perry Vass, Sr. Mr. Vass is survived by his wife, Barbara Vass; daughter, Vanessa Vass; stepchildren, Christopher Reyna and Jennifer Windham; grandchildren, Hannah Windham, Elliott Reyna and Gloria Reyna.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, Texas 77494.
