Cynthia Crosby, 74, of Katy, TX, passed away on Sunday October 3, 2021.
Cynthia was born on July 23, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to Jack and Anita Callan. Cynthia spent most of her life in New Jersey, followed by Vero Beach, Florida, before moving to Katy, Texas. She attained her Bachelor’s degree from Douglass College at Rutgers University, followed by her Master’s degree from Trenton State College in Speech Language Pathology. Cynthia loved working with children and last worked at Little Egg Harbor School District in New Jersey, before retiring. She loved her three cats, reading, long walks on the beach, and refinishing antique furniture.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Jack E. Callan and Anita S. Callan, and her husband Richard Crosby. She leaves behind her family she loved dearly; her daughter Alison Troncellito of Dallas, TX, her son Erik Zingg and wife Liz of Bordentown, NJ, her sister Marilou Zangre and husband Gary of Katy, TX, her brother Craig Callan and wife Cindy of Vero Beach, FL, her sister Melissa Callan of Hamilton, NJ, her nieces and nephews, and the loving friends she had in the community of Wellspring in Katy, TX, especially Jerry and Linda Russell.
Cynthia was a loving Mother, Sister, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cynthia’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The Humane Society of USA.
