I met Paul several years ago and we developed a mutual friendship. Over the years, I referred to him as: "My Hero" and he would respond with a mild laugh. I admired his calm nature, pleasant smile and his great intellect. We spoke and met a few times which unfortunately, were not often enough. I shall miss those casual interfaces, while realizing that he is in a better place. God bless you my "My Hero" and rest in peace.

Dear Pat,

It is hard to believe that it has been fifty years since you and I became friends. Along the way, we have shared good times and sad times. We are sad today, because we are missing Paul whose earthly walk with the Lord has ended.

As the old country preacher I met as a teenager would have said, “On September 11, Paul continued his walk with the Lord: he just merely walked with Him a little bit farther on”. The two of you will see each other again.

May God bless and comfort you.
