

Damor E. Coley, 90, of Katy, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025. A public visitation will be held at Katy Funeral Home, Katy Texas on July 29, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery.
Damor grew up in Smithfield, North Carolina. When she was 12 years old her family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she stayed until marrying in 1957. Damor graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1952 (an old converted WWII arsenal). After graduation, she attended some college and worked in her high school bookstore. Damon married the love of her life, Milton R. Coley, a Navy sailor home on leave on August 18th 1957 at Free Methodist Church in Indianapolis. For the next 20 years she enjoyed her life as a Navy wife traveling all over the world; from Naples, Italy to Londonderry, Ireland and more.
Damor had many hobbies including knitting, crochet, bowling, ballroom dancing and ping pong. She was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and served as treasurer for a number of years. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three children as well as helping with her six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.After her husband retired from the Navy, they purchased a KarmelKorn shop in Cordova mall in Pensacola, Florida, close to the U.S. Naval Air Station. Damor enjoyed all bright colors and her clothing reflected that. She loved the family dog Mugsy.
Damor received many awards including Ballroom dancing from the Arthur Murray Dance studios, received letters from Indiana University to multiple awards and trophies from bowling leagues.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gibbons Eubanks, Maime Eubanks, John Hartley, and Polly Hartley; her beloved parents, Stephen A. Eubanks and Beatriss M. Eubanks; her brothers Alford D. Eubanks and Douglas A. Eubanks; and her devoted husband Milton R. Coley.
She is survived by her siblings, Samuel E. Eubanks and Glenda K. Holman, and Glenda’s husband, Harold Holman; her children, Sheryl Sue Watson; Randal Lee Coley and his spouse, Mary Leigh Coley; and Teresa Kay Marchesano and her husband, Ralph John Marchesano. Her cherished grandchildren are Cristina Varghese, Tiffany Ireland, Jacob Marchesano, Lea Weisz, Jennifer Hyde, and Stefanie Greenwood. Her great-grandchildren include Emalee Marchesano, Maygan Marchesano, Blake Varghese, Chase Varghese, Alexander Ireland, Andrew Weisz, Elliott Hyde, Owen Hyde, Roman Greenwood, Isaac Greenwood, Abel Greenwood, and Naomi Greenwood.
