Mrs. Deborah Ann Irwin-Holsomback (“Debi”) passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Debi was 60 when she passed and was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She died peacefully at her home in Katy, Texas, with her husband of 33 years by her side.

Debi was born in Hollywood, California, on July 22, 1957, to parents Robert Van Irwin and Frances Kirchner Irwin. She grew up the eldest of four children. In 1979, she moved from California to Texas and started a career in Holistic Kinesiology. Several years later, she met & married her husband, Charles Ray Holsomback Sr. Debi had a kind and nurturing soul. She cared about others and their well-being. She was a free spirit who loved her family and was happiest when spending time with them. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, traveling, gardening and yard work, but most of all, Debi loved her animals. It was not unusual to find her with several rescued furry friends, nursing and loving them back to health.

Debi is survived by her husband, Charles Ray Holsomback Sr., and son, Clint Robert Holsomback and wife, Sarah Abigail “Abby”; her three stepsons, Charles Ray Holsomback Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Ronald Barry Holsomback and wife, Maria, and Donald Marl Holsomback; her sisters, Tina Irwin McGowan, and Jamie Binzer, a brother Robert Van Irwin Jr. and wife Lynn, eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Van Irwin Sr. and Frances Kirchner Irwin, and nephew Joshua McGowan.
