Denis was such an inspirational person and had a heart of gold. I first met Denis when I moved to Houston for an internship, I didn’t know anyone and Denis took me under his wing and really looked after me. His laughter and positive attitude to life was infectious, and I will cherish the fact that I had the pleasure of knowing Denis. He was incredibly selfless and was unconditionally kind to everyone. 
Rest in peace Denis.

My dear brother Denis,
I would like to first honour the kind of man that you are. The kind, who is the best of us.  A person of great intellect and capability, who always puts other first. To have great ambition is very normal and most human beings have; this when  looking at world history. Humanity has been built in wanting to achieve great level of performance. Most often people do it to be called great. But rarely is there someone who has for ambition help others. Not for their sake, but for other’s sake.   I often have spoken to people who tell me, they want to achieve this or that. This, so they can achieve great status for themselves. That, so they can have a better life for themselves financially, socially or otherwise. But, rarely have I met a person like you, who want to achieve in order to help other. I remember you telling me about wanting to fight cancer; I know how passionate you are about this and how you talk to me about it. Your dedication to others, is something I am going to take with me for the rest of my life. We all should put others first. We should better ourselves, in order to help others. In French they say ‘La vie est éphémère’. This, if it is so; my brother you have greatly inspired me. Your example, I will now take on for the rest of my days.

With deep sadness, we share the news of the passing of Denis Nyarwaya, aged 35, who left us on Friday, December 27, 2024.

Denis was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence touched everyone around him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those in his life will be forever cherished. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact will be long-lasting. Rest in Peace, Son.

What a tragedy. Terrible,  that we have lost Denis at such an early age. The Lord gives, the Lord takes away

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Denis' family. Our hearts are overwhelmed with both sadness and gratitude. At only 35, Denis left us far too soon, but his vibrant spirit and kindness have left an indelible mark on our lives. Denis brought light and joy to everyone he met, and his generous heart and infectious laughter made the world a better place.

I became acquainted with Denis through his father, my comrade Mr. Ali Abdukarim, and since then, we maintained regular communication.

His absence creates a void that can never be filled, yet the warmth of his memory will remain with us forever. We are thankful for the time we spent with him and the wonderful memories we will cherish always.

Rest in peace, Denis. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

My deepest condolences to Denis’ family and friends. Denis was a walking light in the lives of those who knew him. I went to the same high school with Deno and we reconnected again 2 years ago but we caught up like no time had passed. He was full of warmth and love. Since then, he would randomly check on me and made sure I understood how much he was proud of me. It is so sad that his life was cut short, he had big accomplishments ahead of him.
