Devon David Cavazos

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Devon David Cavazos, who entered eternal rest on July 5, 2026, at the age of 22. Devon was born on March 19, 2004, in Houston Texas. Throughout his life he touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Devon attended Lone Star College and was preparing to begin the next chapter of his education at the University of Houston. He was excited about his future and looked forward to the opportunities that lay ahead.

A devoted Houston sports fan, Devon proudly cheered for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, and Houston Rockets. He was employed at Kroger, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly personality. In his free time, Devon enjoyed boxing, working out, and, most importantly, spending time with his family. He had a kind heart, a contagious smile, and a love for those closest to him that will never be forgotten.

Devon is survived by his father, Steven Cavazos; his mother, Amanda Cavazos; his beloved sister, Alahna Cavazos; and many cherished grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Though his time with us was far too short, Devon’s life was filled with love, determination, and endless potential. While our hearts are broken by his loss, we are forever grateful for the 22 years we were blessed to share with him. His memory will live on in the stories we tell, the love he gave, and the lives he touched.

Visitation for Devon will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel West Houston, with visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Devon’s life will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel West Houston, followed by a 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery for family only. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the life of a son, brother, and friend who will be deeply loved and forever missed.
