
Edith Lois Lunsford, born March 22, 1924, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014, in Katy, Texas. She was 89 years old. Lois, as her friends called her, was born to John and May (Blanchard) Standley, in Pasadena, Texas. A survivor of The Great Depression, Ms. Lunsford raised a family in Galena Park, Texas, and later settled in Liberty, Texas. Lois enjoyed sweing, fishing, cooking, gambling and surrounding herself with loved ones. Her door was always open to anyone at anytime; this warmth drew people to her. Edith Lois Lunsford was a woman of great values and strong morals. A Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend that will be dearly missed. She ws preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Albert Weaver McLain, Jr. She is survived by daughter, Jo Carol Swift; son, Paul Randy McLain and wife, Rita; grandchildren: Marshall McLain and wife, Jennifer; Keri Beth Stanley and husband, William; Stacy Padon and husband, James; Jonathan McLain and wife, Melissa; Rachel Mottley and husband, David; Stephanie Dekker and husband, Ben; and Kristi Carr and husband, Eric. She had 12 Great Grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Allison Funeral Home, 1101 N. Travis, Liberty, Texas, on January 18th. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM followed by services at 3:00PM.
