Edwin J Fritz

Edwin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered most for his kind and generous heart and for the love he gave so freely to his family. He was the kind of person who would give whatever he could to help the people he loved, often putting their needs before his own.

Edwin proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War era, serving aboard the aircraft carriers USS Hancock and USS Ticonderoga. His service was an important part of his life and reflected the dedication and commitment he carried with him throughout his years.

Family was at the center of Edwin’s world. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debora Walker Fritz; his children, Rebecca Fritz, Vincent Bivona (Tracey), Kimberly Fritz (Hebert) and Susan Weisler (Debbie); and his five cherished grandchildren, Emma Bivona, Paisley Bivona, Camila Herrera, Gabriela Herrera, and Mateo Herrera. His grandchildren held a particularly special place in his heart, and he treasured the time he spent with them.

Edwin is also survived by his sister, Linda Fritz Dudoussat (Albert), and his brother, Joseph Karl Fritz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin John Fritz and Louise DeVillentroy Fritz; his sister, Adrienne Villafarra; and his brother, Guy Hennessy.

Those who knew Edwin will remember his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His presence brought comfort and strength to those around him, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched—especially those of his children and grandchildren.

His family takes comfort in knowing that the love he gave so generously will continue to live on in them. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
