Elsa Escarillo Logronio, born on November 18, 1951, in Burauen, Leyte, Philippines, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Alberto and Encarnacion Escarillo and the fifth of eight siblings, growing up in a warm and spirited home filled with love and camaraderie. Elsa’s early passion for archery flourished during her time at Leyte Normal University, where she earned recognition in regional and national competitions. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, inspired by a calling to educate and uplift young minds.
Elsa devoted over three decades to teaching at Burauen North Central School in her hometown, shaping the lives of countless students from 1975 until her retirement in 2006. She was a proud collegiate varsity athlete in archery and continued to support charitable efforts through her involvement with the Samar-Leyte Texas Charity Organization. Her dedication to her community and to the youth she taught left a lasting impression that continues to resonate.
She was a loving wife to the late Clemente “Ting” Logronio Sr., and a devoted mother to her children: Randel and his wife Melje, along with their daughters Kirsten Cate and Cidnee Kei; Clemente “Jon Jon” Jr. and his wife Irene “Ayen”; and Clezel “Cling” and her son Sebastian. Elsa is also survived by her sister Vilma and brothers Rolando and Nelly. She was preceded in death by her husband Clemente Sr. and her parents, Alberto and Encarnacion.
Elsa found joy in gardening, traveling, and practicing archery. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering support made her a beloved presence in the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as a nurturing mother, a caring sister, and a cherished friend.
