Gary A. Sampson

Gary was born April 24, 1956 in El Paso, Texas. He moved to Katy in 2017 after living for over 20 years in Crosby, Texas.

Gary studied at Stephen F. Austin University and worked for 14 years for CB&I/McDermott as an Electrical Estimator. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding his motorcycles, and enjoying the Texas weather while drinking his favorite drink at his favorite spot.

Gary was preceded in death by his sisters Susan Leah Sampson and Patricia McDaniel. He leaves behind his parents Clarence and Rae Sampson of New Boston, TX; his wife Pilar Sampson and stepdaughter Maya Whittier of Katy, TX; his brother John Sampson and wife Paula of League City, TX; sister Cheryl Hale and husband Nathan of New Boston, TX; brother Rick Sampson of Fort Worth, TX and a host of other family and friends.

The Sampson family would like to thank all Gary’s coworkers, family, neighbors and friends for all their support during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held 3:30 PM to 8 PM Friday October 29, 2021 in the Chapel of Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77494.

A graveside service will be held at a later time in New Boston, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gary’s name to the Disabled American Veterans, The Foodbank or any charity of your choice.
