Gary’s father passed away when he was only 3 where his Mother Bonnie raised his brother Russ Berry and sister Gavaughn Winger. He was drafted into the Army when he was 24 and graduated 1st in is NCO class in Fort Benning Georgia. He went to Vietnam as an infantry platoon Sargent for 1 year. When he returned home to the states he spent 30 plus years working for Kroger and retiring when he was 58. He spent the last few years enjoying golf, bowling, the Dallas Mavericks and his Granddaughter Isabella and grandson Juan.
Gary is survived by his wife Carol his son Scott along with his wife Monica and grandbaby Isabella and grandson Juan. His brother Russ still resides in Georgia and his sister Gavaughn in Ohio.
