Gonzalo "Mono" Ramiro Martinez

Gonzalo was born on January 16, 1959 in Oruro, Bolivia to his parents, Ernesto and Albina Martinez. He graduated from Colegio LaSalle in1976. Attended University of Oruro in Civil and Structural Engineering. He married Isabel Lavadenz on January 16, 1982. Gonzalo and Isabel moved to Houston where they began their journey. Gonzalo was a devoted father and amazing friend to all. He enjoyed spending time with his grand kids and extended family. He enjoyed making all who met him laugh and for that moment forget their troubles. He spent his free time starting projects of all kinds and always had to have the “right” tool to complete the job. He leaves behind countless tools and unfinished projects. His time was spent looking to solve the problems of everyone else before he began his, there is nothing he wouldn’t do to make you smile. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Gonzalo is survived by his wife, Isabel Martinez; his kids, Daniel, Paolo, Sergio and Andrea Martinez; and three grandchildren Aubrey, Arianna and Isaac…his mini me. Gonzalo is preceded in death by his father, Ernesto.

A memorial service is scheduled between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on February 3 at the Katy Funeral home in Cinco Ranch. Flowers, stories and condolences may be offered at 23350 Kingsland Blvd. Katy, TX 77494.
