Gustavo Ramirez, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Katy, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. A proud graduate of Katy High School, Gustavo was known in the community for his strong work ethic and kind spirit through his role as a pharmacy delivery driver for H-E-B.
Gustavo had a zest for life and an energy that lit up every room he entered. His laugh was unmistakably goofy, his presence undeniably warm, and his love for those around him unwavering. He was passionate about boxing—something he never missed an opportunity to show off—and had a creative side that came alive when he was customizing shoes. He was equally at home grilling in the backyard, spending time with his family, or heading out on a spontaneous trip to Lake Charles, whether for the day or a weekend adventure.
On March 17th, in Katy, Gustavo married the love of his life, Ashley Lacy. Together, they built a life centered around love, loyalty, and laughter. As a father, Gustavo was second to none—his children, Aiyana Ramirez and Amias Ramirez, were the pride and joy of his world. His dedication, affection, and playfulness made him the kind of dad every child dreams of having.
Gustavo found joy in the simple things: boxing gloves in his hands, a grill fired up for a family cookout, or his beloved pets, Cookie Janae and Kash Jamal Ramirez, by his side. He loved the color black, not just for its boldness, but for the confidence it reflected—much like Gustavo himself.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley Lacy; his children, Aiyana and Amias Ramirez; his parents, Felipe Ramirez and Albesa Avila; his stepmother, Hortencia Ramirez; his siblings, Luis, Abby, Santana, and Dante Ramirez; and his step-siblings, Eli Velazquez, Hortencia Velazquez, and Edith Velazquez.
To those who knew him best, Gustavo was more than just a man with a big heart—he was a protector, a provider, and a light in the lives of everyone he touched. His legacy lives on through his family, his passions, and the countless moments he shared with those he loved most.
