Heriberto "Eddie" Guerra

On August 12th, 2024, Heriberto Guerra, known to his family as “Beto” also known to his friends and clients as “Eddie”, has passed from this world on earth, into the loving arms of God. Heriberto was born in Del Rio, Texas on August 8, 1953 to Eliazar M. and Celia S. Guerra. He was the 2nd child born out of 7. He was the Father of one, a Brother of 6, an Uncle of 25, and a Great Uncle of many. He is survived by a loving Son, Heriberto Jr. whom he so lovingly called “Eddie Jr”. He is also survived by his siblings, Eliazar Guerra (Alicia), Adrian Guerra, Orlando Guerra, Maria Anna (Greg) Szanyi, Maria Edith Garza and Cesario Guerra.

Heriberto grew up in Roma, Texas. A small town in the Rio Grande Valley. He was a 1971 graduate from Roma High School where he participated in the school choir and was known to his peers as “Bird” in the way he would sing like one.

After graduation, he set off to the big city of Houston where he worked in various jobs ranging from Grocery store clerk, Line man and Telecommunications. He then put his energy into learning and teaching Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Essential Oils, Energy & Magnetic Healing and Yoga. He was committed to spreading pertinent information in the U.S. under his pen name “Citizen Journalist”.

Most who have come to know him have experienced his innate desire to promote healing and well being. This would come naturally to him as he would begin by entering a room with an infectious smile and calm manner. He was always looking for answers to all questions relative to promoting good health. He had a continuous spirit for adventure and was all about living LIFE in harmony and living it WELL. May the Sun and the Earth appear more beautiful from Heaven than as we see them here on Earth.
