I will miss my dad,  He taught me so much while I was growing up,  He loved his family and would always enjoy the summer trips North,  He loved to fish with Grandpa,  He used to take us fishing when he finished his hitch offshore and would also take us  camping,  We had great times each summer, Another thing  Dad never did was to  take  any of his vehicles to a garage for repairs,  He always did it him self, He would take his time and when finished he would always wash and clean the whole thing up,  I learned a lot about cars from dad,  He was a real car guy, I could have not asked for a better dad,  I am so proud to be his son, 

It was a honor knowing him.May God rest your soul.🙏

My brother was so special.  He always was there when i needed
to talk.   He teased me and I can remember the time he told me to hang on to a clothes line and then he left me hanging while getting away with his friends as didn't want me to try and follow him or he
would tease my dog and later my kids and his own.  We were 8 years apart but always friends when I got older.  He would also tease our older brother and one time told him to smell Mom's cactus as it smelled soo good. when Duane bent to smell it, Jim pushed it to his nose and had prickle cactus that he had to pull out with a tweezer. I sure will miss our phone calls but know you are with Belva now and happy. The Lord bless you.

Bob & I have wonderful memories of Jim & Belva sharing good times camping, dancing, partying with both our families, & celebrating the birth of our grandchildren. Our daughter Laurie was blessed having Heaven sent In Laws like Jim & Belva. They were not in laws but Laurie's Other Mom & Dad.  We will all miss them both but we know that now he is with the Love Of His Life,  Belva

Uncle Jim was always a favorite Uncle of mine. I always thought of him as a big man and lots of fun. He loved teasing .   I remember he and my dad Duane talking and laughing with Uncle Jim about one time they went fishing Uncle Jim sitting by the door of the car Dad in the middle and Grandpa driving. Uncle Jim had his elbow out the window looked down seen a snake and pulled his arm in so fast and got Dad in face almost knocked him out. They always laughed about that and so many other things. We all loved his visits . We only talked once in awhile but it was always wonderful to hear his voice.

He always liked to tease.  He would tell people that when he gave my hand to Danny in marriage, he said “no backies “. 

As a father, he was strict, his word was law.  But he also played with us, throwing us in the water, taking us camping and fishing. 

We always had family vacations. He would get 1 week and every year we would leave on Friday after work and drive all night to Dupree, South Dakota. We stayed until Sunday morning, drive 16 hours home and go to work Monday. 

As a grandfather, he was a pushover. He told me once that Brandi almost made him mad enough to spank her.  He was at the grocery and Brandi wanted candy. He picked up the grocery sack and milk in one hand and grab Brandi’s hand with the other.  As they headed for the pickup she picked her feet up. He had to carry her  just holding her by the hand. 😂😂 you know I would have gotten a beating! Like I said, a pushover.  

My favorite thing about my parents is their love. Mom and dad only knew each other for 1 month and 2 days and were married for 60 years. 

I have such pleasant memories of my cousin Jim even though he was an older cousin and i was younger. I loved when the Hemen kids  (his kids) came to the ranch in the summer. Kathy an i played and played and my brothers taught the Hemen boys about ranch life, like chewing tobacco and telling them not to spit, peeing on an electric fence. I still laugh at those memories. I remember when Jim heard how my brothers schooled his boys on the ranch how he laughed!! He had such a wonderful laugh. His Mom, my aunt Esther is the one that told me i needed Jesus in my heart! Oh how i remember that day. It impacted my life! She led me to Jesus! I loved this family dearly even though we didn’t get to be together much. He is with a whole bunch of wonderful family in heaven! Praise Jesus!
