JoAnna Campbell was born on July 5, 1947 to Horace Wayne Sr. and Marie Laverne Stack in Houston, Texas. She left this world on May 22, 2025 at the age of 77 after a short but valiant fight with brain cancer.
JoAnna grew up in Houston, Texas graduating from Milby High School in 1965. While in school, she was active on the Milby Coed Cadets dance team, the pride of Milby High School, even becoming an officer. After high school, she attended two years of college.
JoAnna then began her career as an Administrative Assistant which she thoroughly enjoyed. She worked for Herder Truck Lines, Powell Electric, and Morrow Crane Services. JoAnna retired from Morrow shortly after she found out she was going to be a grandmother. That was going to be her full time job.
Her first and foremost hobby was her three grandsons. She did not miss a thing that they were involved in. Starting with PeeWee sports and then onto Junior High sports, High School sports, band performances, award ceremonies, proms, JROTC, first dorms, first condo, Corp of Cadets, and graduations. Mimi was a constant cheerleader for all things. Secondly, was her love of crafting with her Cricut. Especially making her greeting cards. She put all of her heart into every card that she created for someone.
JoAnna is survived by her husband, Craig Campbell; her two children Jenn (Larry) Brown of Flatonia and Jeff (Lindsay) Janek of Cypress; three grandsons Justin and Colt Marler of Flatonia and Jackson Janek of Cypress; her siblings, Edna Hurley, Robert (Tina) Stack and Sister In Law Angie Stack; and nieces and nephews that she adored.
