Justin grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where his early years helped shape the steady, people-centered life he would go on to build. He attended Thunderbird High School, the Arizona School of Massage Therapy, and was currently pursuing a Finance degree at Western Governors University, continuing to learn, grow, and plan for the future with quiet determination.
Professionally, Justin brought both creativity and insight to his work as a photographer and marketing professional. Through these roles, he combined an attentive eye with a thoughtful approach, reflecting a care for detail and a genuine interest in connecting with others.
On October 24, 2015, Justin married Chris Dickinson in Chandler, AZ. Together they shared a life grounded in companionship, laughter and adventure, made richer by their cat, Cersei. Justin’s favorite thing was simple and true: having a laugh with Chris, with family, or with friends, moments of lightness that became lasting memories for those who knew him.
Justin found joy in photography, travel, music, and going on cruises. He was well known for hosting, welcoming others in with ease, along with cooking and baking, and for a laugh that could fill a room and soften a day. In all of it, he carried a generous spirit, consistently putting others before himself, devoted to family, and loving his friends deeply.
Justin was preceded in death by Peter Dragon, Grandfather; Barbara Dragon, Grandmother; and Nancy Dickinson, Mother-in-law.
He is survived by His Husband, Chris Dickinson. His mother, Susan Dragon. His father, Joseph Hernandez. His brother Nathan Hernandez.
