Kevin was born on January 17, 1952 in Bath, NY. He was the son of Rita Ann and Frank Joseph Sullivan and was one of six children. Surviving siblings are Christine Palochak of Santa Cruz, CA; Cathleen Jenkins of Bath, NY; Theresa Janicek (Jerry) of Midlothian, VA; Patrick Sullivan (Mary) of Katy, TX; Maureen Carpenter (Kevin) of Bath, NY. Kevin was very loyal to his family and had a way of always making each sibling feel special to him. He was Uncle Kevin to a dozen nieces and nephews and knew how to have a great time with them at every opportunity. At the same time, he always made time for his parents, even if it meant flying halfway around the world to help them out when needed.
Kevin graduated Haverling High School in Bath, NY in 1970 and Canisius College in Buffalo in 1974 with a degree in English. He served 2 terms in the US Peace Corp. The first was in Gabon and then in Sudan as a Project Director for Cooperative Housing Foundation. Upon his return to the USA, he settled in Enumclaw, WA on a mountain lake in a little cabin of which he was very proud and could enjoy time closer to nature. A few years later, he started working in (railroad) construction where it allowed him to continue to enjoy his love for travel. He moved to Virgina temporarily before again moving on to Japan to teach English as a second language. In 1995, he began working for Pacific Housing International (PHI) in Japan as a building instructor and this is where he met the love of his life and future beautiful wife, Chiemi. Kevin and Chiemi were married on May 10, 2007 and moved to Katy, TX. They started a housing rental business together with his brother Patrick named CKP, Inc.
Kevin became an avid golfer at a young age. He retired in Katy, TX to be nearer to his brother, Patrick, where they were able to enjoy many more years of golf together. Kevin was well known for his sense of humor and caring heart. He had a special love for animals and gardening. He enjoyed a simple life full of helping others. He had many lifelong friends and golfing buddies. There will be a major emptiness in this world as we continue on without him. He is loved by many.
