

Larry Wayne LAMBERSON, age 81, of Katy, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 in the hospital. Larry was born November 30, 1939 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He grew up helping his dad on their family's farm and from a young age learned to work hard while also attending school. He was also on the basketball team at Valley View High School in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Larry joined the Army at age 17 and he was in the Army/Army National Guard for (6) years. He was very proud of his service and spoke of it often. He was part of some historical events during the time he served. He eventually left Arkansas where he spent most his life in Texas and was in business for himself from 1972 thru 2015 as the owner of Larry's Towing in Channelview, Texas. He made many friends over those years in business and was loved by all for his giving spirit as he never met a stranger. Larry's passion was his towing business. He enjoyed working, had an interest in antique cars, also had a deep love for all animals and enjoyed doing things outdoors around his home. He really enjoyed getting out going to stores and going to eat at his favorite restaurants with his wife and family. He was a very devoted husband.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents father James Arthur Lamberson, mother Nannie Lou Salmons and son Michael Lamberson. He leaves behind his loving, caring, devoted wife of 32 years Diana Lamberson along with their 2 dogs, Dottie and Penny of Katy, Texas. He is also survived by step daughter Brenda Wilson and son in law James Wilson of New Caney, Texas, daughter Susan Lamberson of Springdale Arkansas, sons Brian Oien of California and, Quentin Harrison of Pennsylvania, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, family and friends. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all and never forgotten.
