

Born on November 4, 1957, Lawrence was known for his kindness, integrity, and compassion for others. He had a strong work ethic and pursued his endeavors with enthusiasm. Those who knew him well remember his generous spirit and the warmth he brought to every interaction.
He graduated with a BS degree in Industrial Arts Education from Murray State University. He worked in the oil industry for over 40 years as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager. He later worked for Ecoservices as a Safety Compliance Manager and then semi-retired, continuing as a consultant with the company. He and his wife enjoyed traveling both domestically and abroad. He loved their dog, Maestro, a Shetland Sheepdog. He was also one of the biggest fans of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. Lawrence, fondly known as Larry, will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Lawrence is Preceded in death by his father, Hoyt Barnett; mother, Minnie Cravens; brother, David Moore; and sister, Martha Campbell.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; son, Aaron Barnett; nephew, Jeff Edwards; Jeff’s wife, Jill Edwards; grandniece, Mary Catherine Morris; grandnephews, Carter Edwards and Tom Edwards; and his many friends who loved him dearly.
Larry was an amazing husband and father, always there when you needed him and revered by colleagues and coworkers. He touched the lives of many with his compassion and positive outlook on life. Even in death his generosity and love are shown through his election to donate his corneas so that others may experience the gift of sight.
