Linda Amendt

Linda built her working life in accounting, approaching her responsibilities with steady diligence and a strong sense of purpose. She was hard-working in the truest sense—reliable, capable, and committed to doing what needed to be done.

Faith and fellowship were central to Linda’s days. She was part of St Peters Methodist Church and a Bible group, and she valued the friendships that grew through the many circles she shared—friend groups, a 1st Friday dinner group, and the simple joy of gathering often and well. Her thoughtfulness showed in the way she made room for others, and her kind-hearted nature was felt in the warmth she brought to every table and every conversation.

Linda’s life was also filled with lively interests and the pleasure of shared activities. She enjoyed Rummikub, wine nite, Mexican trains, and many events with the Heritage Grand group, including plays, bingo, tribute band outings, bunco, and more bingo—always with a spirit that could lighten a room and a sense of humor that stayed close at hand. In her early years, she enjoyed boating, going to the lake, bowling, and Harley rides. In later years, she found deep joy in time spent with her friends, her dog Munchkin, and the comfort of eating out together—moments made meaningful by her generous attention and enduring care.

Those who knew Linda knew a fighter—someone who met life with resolve and kept going with quiet strength. Yet alongside that strength was a generosity of heart, a readiness to give, and a steady kindness that did not ask to be noticed.
