Lise M Shepherd

Lise Maher Shepherd, 60, of Katy, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2023. Lise was born October 9, 1962, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, to James and Esther Maher. She is survived by her ex-husband, Richard, Katy, TX, her beloved fur baby, Tigger, her brother James Maher and wife Susan, Katy, TX, niece Rachel Harvey and husband William, Katy, TX, nephew Michael Maher and wife Julie, Covington, LA, nephew James R. Maher and wife Heather, Long Valley, NJ, and nephew Sean Maher and wife Amanda, Metairie, LA, nephews Collin Maher and Ryan Maher, Katy, TX, and thirteen grand nieces and nephews.

Lise graduated from The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley with a Bachelor of Accounting and from the University of St. Thomas Houston with a Master of Business Administration. She was a Certified Public Account and worked for municipal governments and a nonprofit as the Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, respectively. Lise also enjoyed mentoring and teaching at Houston Community College in the Accounting department.

Lise was a member of Common Ground Community Church, Katy, TX. She loved animals, especially her cat, Tigger, the ducks, and the squirrel that frequently visited Tigger at the kitchen window. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, musical theater, contemporary Christian concerts and watching the Astros. Lise liked to travel and was thankful for the opportunity to travel to Israel in 2019.

A celebration of life for Lise will be officiated by Pastor Jon Davis on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12:30 PM at The Brookwood Community, 1752 Farm to Market 1489, Brookshire, Texas 77423 with a light reception to follow.

The family wishes to thank Richard Shepherd, her family, and her church family for caring for Lise during her time of need.
