Martha Wilhite Williamson

Ms. Williamson “Grammy” was born on March 7, 1952, in Houston, Texas, eldest child and first daughter to Russell “Bud” Woodward Wilhite Jr. and Julia Jane Wright. Martha grew up in Baytown and attended Robert E. Lee High School where she met her former spouse, Tommy Williamson. Their marriage bore three beautiful children: Jana Deann, Jeffrey Lynn, and Jennifer Sue. Martha was a role model to many, raising her children in Katy, Texas, while balancing a successful career in Human Resources in the Oil and Gas industry.

Grammy was a devoted mother and grandmother. Family was the center of her life and her “partner in crime” personality gave you the comfort that she was always there for you, ready to provide any support and protection you needed. Her personality was always welcoming and hospitable, and everyone loved her. She was an avid cook and famous for her chicken spaghetti and buck-eyes. Grammy loved socializing with her friends, as well as other hobbies like wreath-making, culinary classes, and cheering on her grandkids’ activities.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Bud. She leaves behind her children: Jana and Jason Sharp, of Katy; Jeff and Catherine Williamson, of Lumberton; and Jennifer and Rudy Anzaldua, of Katy; siblings: Beverly and Bob Tinn, of Cypress; Amy Swoboda, of Houston; Russell and Peggy Wilhite, of Pattison; and Connie and Jake Gatlin, of Cypress. She is also succeeded by six loving grandchildren: Bradley Sharp, of Katy; Blayne Williamson, of Lumberton; Hayden and Davis Lee, of Katy; and Dylan and Brayden Anzaldua, of Cypress; as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Although her death was sudden, the foundation she instilled in her loved ones will propel the family to remain steadfast in their holiday traditions and always show love and support for each other.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2022, in the Rio Grande Chapel of Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77494. Reception to follow.
