Nancy Carole Wendt

Nancy Carole Wendt, 77, of Katy, TX was called home to be with her heavenly father on April 9, 2016 after a long battle with Kidney disease, Leukemia and other physical complications. She was born August 18, 1938 in Worcester, MA. to Muriel Dow and Louis Lapointe of Auburn, MA. who preceded her in death along with her brother Gerald Lapointe and many family pet’s.

She is survived by Ronald Wendt, her wonderful devoted husband of 54 years, daughter Cheri Mixon and husband Wayne of Katy, son Craig Wendt and wife Shari along with grandsons, Aiden and Caleb of Katy, brother Louis Lapointe and wife Laurie of St. Petersburgh, FL., sister-n-law Sharon Lapointe of Leicester, MA, cousin Robert Lapointe and wife Margaret of Punta Gorda, FL., and many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed flowers and working in her yard. She loved all kinds of arts and crafts, but her passion as many know was ceramics, so many have been blessed by all the beautiful hand-painted treasures she created. We will miss her wonderful smile and laughter. We’ll always be reminded of the sparkle in her eye when she opened a new Swarovski treasure for her birthday or at Christmas. She loved her numerous collections.

Please join the family on Sunday, April 17th from 1-4 at Katy Funeral Home for a lite lunch and refreshments to share stories of Nancy’s life.

In her memory a donation to SPCA or Zoi’s Animal Rescue of Navasota would be appreciated.
