Mr. Walker was born October 14, 1930 in Lubbock, Texas, to Floyd and Artie Walker. Mr. Walker was a longtime resident of Pasadena, Texas. He served our country in The United States Army and served in the Korean War. Mr. Walker was an accomplished chemist, retiring from Champion Paper Mill after 35 years. More than anything, Mr. Walker loved being a caring and devoted husband, Daddy, and PaPa. He also loved tending to his vegetable and flower gardens, watching the Houston Astros, refinishing furniture, hunting, gardening, bicycling, and piddling.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Floyd Bruce Walker Jr., Marion Jack Walker, Ted Douglas Walker, Glenn Allen Walker, Margaret Annell Walker Holmes, Julia Daphine Walker Potter, and grandson: Jason Cyrlin.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Joy Lynn Walker; children: Ned Donald Walker Jr., Deborah Lynn Cyrlin, Janice Ann Ratliff, Cheryl Denise Plut; grandchildren: Jade Cashman, Jauna Clifton, Jessica McKenney, Chelsea Brewster, Joy Rusthoven, Gary Cyrlin Jr, John Patrick Brewster; great-grandchildren: Rileigh Clifton, Angela Cyrlin, Jason Cyrlin Jr, Abigail Cashman, Ryder Bade, Georgia Cashman, James Cyrlin, CJ McKenney, Brooks Brewer; siblings: James Arlen Walker, Harvey Nelson Walker, Everett Lee Walker, Peggy Elaine Walker Liles, Sheila May Walker Chollett; and extended loving family.
Mr. Walker was an honorable Army veteran, caring husband, father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
