

In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother and Grandmother
With heavy hearts, we remember Mrs Olawunmi Dorothy Obadan a woman of boundless love, unyielding faith, and immeasurable generosity, Her presence in our lives was a beacon of light, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
A devoted Catholic, Our mom embodied the teachings of love, compassion, and forgiveness. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, a faith she shared generously with her children, Clementina, Cyril, Blessing, Jude, Mary, and Funke.
To Clementina, she was a guiding star, offering wisdom and encouragement with every step of her journey. Cyril felt her love in every cheerful word and supportive gesture, knowing she was his biggest fan. Blessing found a rock in her mother, a source of strength during both trials and triumphs.
Jude held a special place in her heart, a bond of shared dreams and aspirations. Mary knew her mother's love in the warmth of her embrace and the tender moments they shared. Funke felt her mother's love as a wellspring of inspiration, a driving force in her pursuit of her passions.
Her love extended to her six cherished granddaughters – Omo, Mimi, Jasmine, Nicole, Maria, and Abigail – each one embraced in her arms and heart.
Her life was a testament to her philosophy of giving, and her legacy lives on in the lives she touched. Through challenges, she exuded grace and resilience, reminding us all of the power of hope and faith.
Her love was not bound by words alone; it was expressed in every action, and every encouraging word she bestowed upon her children individually. As we bid her farewell, we carry her love, her wisdom, and her unwavering faith with us, knowing that her spirit will forever guide us.
May her soul find eternal rest.
She was actively involved in community work In her capacity of leadership in the Police Officer’s Wives Association in many states in Nigeria. Dorothy Olawunmi was a loving and kind woman who always had family and friends in her home at all times, actively involved in their wellbeing and development. She actively participated in Parish activities in the Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Christo Obadan, parents and brothers- Isaac and Ataso Amu. She is survived by her children-Clementina, Cyril, Blessing, Jude and Mary.
A visitation for Olawunmi will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77494. A catholic funeral mass will occur Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77494. A committal service will occur Friday, September 1, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Southwest Cemetery, 9040 FM359, Richmond, Texas 77406. A reception will occur Friday, September 1, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77494.
