We are all missing you both, always in our thoughts.

Oh my god, I can't believe it's been a year.  How well and fondly I remember him, mostly for coming to my rescue, in my weakest moment and greatest moment of need (1989).

My Family and I have sooo many Wonderful Fond Memories of Paulie and his kind Family!!! The famous Paulie van, the backyard filled with bunny rabbits and ducks. Paulie & My Dad talking about there days of working together and the Friendship our Families have formed. We Miss You ~ We Love You Paulie!!

Mr. Manfredi was a great man. He had a heart of gold, he opened his home to me many times over the years. He will be missed by all. RIP Paolo 🙏🏼

We are so sad to hear of Paul’s passing.  We got to know him and the family through our late grandmother, Lilly Malsch and neighbor!  We were kids visiting and made a few adult visits when passing through Jackson Heights!

You always opened your home to our visits.  We will always treasure the memories!  Prayers to the family!  RIP, Paul!!



I have many fond memories of Paul, and am most thankful and grateful for his help and generosity towards my Grandmother, who was his neighbor.  He was her handyman (back in Queens).  After my Grandmother died, and her executor sealed her house, he was the one who put us up, (rescuing us from homelessness), when we appeared for her funeral.  I shall forever be eternally grateful to Paul, for that, in our deepest time of need.

We missed Paolo in the Church of Our Lady of Fatima. He is a very nice man. He was the one who was taking care of the maintenance of the yard and planting various plants. We missed his greeting: Good morning people. May he rest in peace. We truly missed you Paul.

Paul was a kind and thoughtful man. I will always cherish his phone calls to "check in" with me after Enzo's passing. His concern was very comforting.   I enjoyed our conversations and greatly appreciated his expression of love. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy and much love to the Family.  Linda

He was a great grandfather, my favorite memory was him taking me fishing  in the van. We would bring the rods and the net and catch all the little fish. I’m going to miss going to the house every weekend but I know and cherished my moments with him and I am lucky to have him as a grandfather ❤️

Pupa:

A man of few words, your look said it “all”, honest, genuine with a heart of gold.
You gave me more than what was expected of a parent and understood me like know one else could.
We only had each other to lean on and you put your trust in me.
I had reached the point where I knew that I could no longer care for you alone as I needed more help.
You gave me permission and to sell your house and the rest is history.
All I had to do was pack our bags, gets us on a plane and we went first class all the way to Katy, TX.
I would like to acknowledge the love and  unending support of my brother Joseph, Margaret and Steven who went above and beyond for us day or night.
My sisters, Marina and Imelda took care  of preparing for our move as they knew time was of the essence.
Please also let me acknowledge their  families which included,Chris,Anabella,Patrick and Michael and Victor, Andrew and Caitlyn in helping move into our new home.
Their daily visits was just what my father and I needed to sustain us in the coming days and months.
My father loved to garden and I will include a picture of his last small garden  at our home in East Elmhurst, NY taken on 08/10/19.
As a tribute to my parents Paul and Maria, for their courage, as they both left behind what was familiar and come to a new country.
I will continue to honor their legacy for all their love and support and especially because they never asked for anything in return.
Please accept my apologies if I made anyone feel  left out. and unappreciated and hope that you will understand and forgive me in time.

My Zio  always  sweet and caring with a twinkle in his eyes. Especially when we are all together Sharing  laughs with you Daddy and our family.One of my favorite times is going to the farm upstate with you and my cousins ,daddy; you making us laugh and.cooking us polenta and  salami and to watch daddy having the best time. My dad was able to write this in his very last days.

You will be missed dearly.  I will always remember as a child visiting you and Zia Maria with my parents on Saturday nights.  One great memory of mine is when you and my dad came over to our new house and decided to remove the hedges using the “old school” way and seeing you and my dad laughing, I will never forget. 

I am so grateful we were able to spend so many special occasions together, especially Christmas Eve.  God Bless.

I have many fond memories of Zio. Somehow he and Zia never tired of me coming to visit over the weekends.  There was nothing better than watching daddy and Zio spend time together.  It brings me comfort knowing they are all together again ❤️❤️❤️


I have been twice at his house in Queens. He always welcome me in his house as one of his favorite relatives. He was very closed to my mum, Rosa Babbini. I remember every Christmas time he was calling to say Merry Christmas as well for Easter time. A man with a deep faith and a great love for his wife Maria. He educated his children, son and daughters and all his nephews and needs to love the others, to be honest, to be helpful with every person to be right and just.
I am sorry because next  Christmas without his call would not be the same........ I will keep him in my thoughts 😇and my heart. ♥️

Papa Paul was a blessing in my life. My brother Rey and his son Joe became the best of friends and I was fortunate enough when my brother left for the Navy the whole Family took me as one of their own. I will never forget walking to their house going into the basement and eating the best food anybody can have. And I’ll never forget the trip that I took with Papa Paul to visit Joe in upstate New york in his famous van. God Bless the family.

Mr. Manfredi was a father figure to me during my years in Jackson Heights. He always treated me like family, opened his home to me, and took me with his son, Joe, on trips to his farm.

A great man who had a significant and everlasting influence on me. My heartfelt condolences to the Manfredi family.

My deepest sympathies to all of the Manfredi children.  May your father's memory be a blessing to you all.  A good man who lived a long and prosperous life.
