

Rachel Ines Rodriguez, born on January 21, 1939, in Laredo, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of Jose and Jacinta Serna and the twelfth of thirteen siblings. As the baby girl of the family, she was deeply loved by her siblings, nieces, and nephews and shared a special bond with her dear sister-in-law, Irene.
Rachel found great joy and fulfillment in her career as a bank teller at Prosperity Bank. She loved interacting with her customers and colleagues, forming lasting relationships and brightening the lives of those around her. Her dedication and warm presence made her a beloved part of her community.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ramon Rodriguez Jr., with whom she built a beautiful life and family. Together, they raised six loving children: Rachel, Ramon III, Irma, Sandra, Diana, and Patricia. Her love and legacy live on through her grandchildren: Ramon Rodriguez IV, Erica Chebret, Jessica Ramirez, Joseph Rodriguez, Jordan Kraatz, Austin McPhee (deceased), Jackson Sheppard, and Jacinta Sheppard. She is now reunited in heaven with her Husband of over 60 years Ramon, Grandson, Austin McPhee, and her Daughter-in-law, Veronica Rodriguez.
Family was Rachel’s greatest passion, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. She had a deep love for Las Vegas and made trips as recently as last year, always eager for a new adventure. She enjoyed playing card games, especially Tripoley, and was known for her fun-loving nature and competitive spirit.
Rachel will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a woman of strength, warmth, and love, leaving behind a beautiful legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Rest in peace, Rachel. Your love and light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew you.
