Mr. Randy Steven Metheny

Mr. Metheny was born on June 22, 1955, in Frezno California. He was a long-time resident of Houston Texas. He worked for Great Electric for almost 40 years, where he later retired. He was an avid fan of John Wayne, loved to read his books and watch Nascar (Dale Earnhart Sr). He loved his family dinners on Sundays. The most important thing to Randy was spending quality time with his family. He was a friend to all and had a smile you couldn’t resist. He was a loving and kind soul.

Mr. Metheny was preceded in death by parents; Jim Metheny and Helen Lamaster, his brother Mike Metheny, and his only sister Joan Sheffield.

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Fay Metheny of Houston Tx, his one and only child a son, Steven Metheny, and fiancé Shannon of Katy Tx. A brother Wayne Sheffield of Houston Tx, Randy also had his lifelong friends, Rick and Ruth Rogers, and Tom Williams. Many nieces and nephews and other family members.

Services will be held by Katy Funeral Home.

A funeral service for Randy will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, KATY, TX 77494, followed by a reception from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
