

Richard joined the Air Force at the age of 17, where he spent four years. He then joined the Navy where he retired after twenty years of service. He also owned an oil field service business for ten years. He then found his true calling and passion as a patient advocate with the Veteran’s Administration for the next twenty five years. Richard earned a BA of Science in 1998 from the University of Houston and an MBA of Science in 2002, also from the University of Houston.
Richard is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Betty “Ann” Wilson; children, Cynthia Yvonne Jordan and husband Anthony, Richard George Wilson, Jr. and wife Brenda, Wendy Dianne Duncan and husband Rick, and Bryan Scott Wilson; grandchildren, Brittany Jordan, Andrew Spagnola Wilson, Alexis Spagnola Wilson, Devon Duncan, Courtney Duncan, Sarah Wilson, Piper Wilson and Logan Wilson; great-grandson, Camron Jordan; brothers, Joseph Wilson and wife Peggy, James Wilson and wife Mary; sister, Yvette Candler and husband Sam.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Katy Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. A procession will follow to Houston National Cemetery for interment. Chaplain (MAJ) Josh White will officiate services.
