Robert Dale Murray

January 26th, 1958 – June 5th, 2025

Robert “Bobby” Dale Murray joined the lord on Thursday June 5th, surrounded by family. Bobby is preceded in death by his mother Eleanor, father Barney, brother Bill, and sister Cheryl. He is survived by his wife Kelli, sons Zac and Trevor, daughters-in-law Melody and Megan, grandchildren Maggie, Emilia, and Mabel, and brothers Terry, John, and Paul.

Bobby was born in Houston and grew up in Sharpstown. Bobby met the love of his life, Kelli, through mutual friends and married on April 7th, 1984, and they were happily married for 41 years. Bobby and Kelli raised their two children in Katy in the same home they still reside in today. He is known as “Pops” to his three loving granddaughters. Bobby started his own company in 1991, and he was still running it up until his final days. Bobby was known as a kind, happy soul that could light up a room with his warm, welcoming smile combined with his iconic mustache. Bobby enjoyed fishing, concerts, grilling, local sports, a cold beer, and being a father and grandfather most of all. Bobby also loved spending his time at the river in Ingram, and at the beach with his family. He was a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Bobby was dearly loved, and he will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be held at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd. Katy, TX, on June 16th from 5-8 pm. The Celebration of Life will be held at Katy Funeral Home at 10 am on Tuesday, June 17th. Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, Bobby would have been honored for memorial donations to be made at LUNGevity in his name.
