Salvatore Frank Diliberto

Salvatore “Sam” Frank Diliberto, passed away on April 14th, 2026 in Katy, Texas. He was a loving and passionate father and grandfather who measured his life not in accomplishments, but in relationships. His grandchildren who loved taking rides in grandpa’s chair, his children he raised to become the strong and accomplished adults he always knew they would be, his family held ever so dear to his heart who made him the great man we all knew, his co-workers who gave him pride and confidence in his career, and the friends and neighbors who always knew he was the guy you could count on for anything and everything with a smile.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sam spent his working years in numbers, accounting and financial controls, but those who knew him best remember him for the way he put his full passion and soul into the things he loved. The Chicago Bears, chocolate cake, swimming laps in his pool, landing a full house in late night games around the holidays, or pulling for those triple 7s in Vegas with the neon lights highlighting his smile.

Sam is survived by his children Lauren Diliberto (Stephen Williams) and Timothy Diliberto (Marla), his grandchildren Kara and Lennox Diliberto, his brother Michael Diliberto(Colleen), his niece and goddaughter Erica Sweeney (Kyle), and his grandniece Amelia. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Jennie Diliberto.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Sam at Dignity Memorial Katy Funeral Home, at 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494 on June 13th, 2026 at 1pm. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please provide memorial donations to the Houston Area Parkinsons Society https://haps.org/
