Sal was born in Brooklyn, New York, July 6, 1946. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Francine; his sons Sal (Teresa), John (Andrea), Marc (Tracy); sister Tina (Mike); sister in-law Marianne (Bill) and many nieces and nephews. He adored his grandchildren Hunter, Jack, Alayna, Vincent, Nicholas, Taylor, Katherine, and Joseph. Sal was passionate about family. They were the most important part of his life.
He spent the most enjoyable years of his life coaching his boys’ soccer and baseball teams. His coaching style will be remembered by everyone that was on his regular season and All-Star teams. He was known to be an amazing motivator and got the best out of every child he coached in his own unique way.
The Ferruzzo family would like to give a special thanks to Vantage Hospice, Katy and the Grace Care Center of Katy for comforting him in the last year of his life.
For those wishing to visit with family, all are welcome to the home of Andrea and John Ferruzzo at 311 Shasta Drive, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday May 1, 2019.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM Thursday May 2, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056.
