Sylvia Trigo

Sylvia Trigo from Katy, Texas, age 75, beloved mother and friend was unexpectedly called to her eternal home on July 19, 2023. Sylvia was born to Jesus (Jesse) and Lucy Reyna March 8, 1948 in Alamo, (Hidalgo County), Texas and lived in Texas all of her life. She graduated from McAllen High school, obtained her Degree from Houston Le Tourneau University. Sylvia completed Certifications in Training and taught English as a Second Language.

Sylvia had a strong work ethic. She became a single mother at age 28 and held several jobs at a time to provide and show her love for her daughters and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Lucy Reyna and her brother Frank Reyna, all from McAllen, TX.

She is survived by; Daughter Jennifer Michelle Surgent (Jason) of Daytona, Florida, and granddaughter Savannah; Daughter, Jessica Marie Rowland (Hans) of N. Carolina and grandsons Gavin and Gage; Sister, Yvonne S. Hull (Andrew) of Georgetown, TX and niece, Amanda S. Hull Whyde (Alex) of Rosenberg, TX.

A mass with be held on Friday, July 28, at 11 AM at:

Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Community

1530 Norwalk Dr

Katy, TX 77450

with a reception for family and friends to follow. The family will inter her ashes in the cemetery with her parents and brother in McAllen, TX.
