Sylvia Ann Willis of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on April 29, 1954, in Houston to Frederico and Carmen Fuentes. Sylvia grew up in a loving home alongside her sister, Tina. She graduated from Spring Woods High School and carried the values of hard work, dedication, and compassion with her throughout her life.
Sylvia spent much of her professional life as an Executive Administrative Assistant in the medical field, where her attention to detail and unwavering commitment were widely admired. She also contributed her time and heart to community service, most notably through her involvement with Impact A Hero, where she supported wounded veterans and their families.
Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband Wallace Willis of Houston, her sons Aaron Kerr and his wife Amy of Austin, and Dustin Kerr and his wife Devin of Longmont, Colorado. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Lily Beth Kerr, Piper Kerr, and Barrett Kerr. She is also survived by her sister Tina Rios and her Husband Alex. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Frederico and Carmen Fuentes, her beloved daughter Mariah Kerr, and her cherished grandson Rainer Kerr.
Sylvia fiercely loved her family and friends. Her life was centered around making her home a welcoming place, both in spirit and design. She had a remarkable talent for decorating and transformed her home with each season and holiday, creating memories for all who visited. Her garden was her sanctuary, and she poured her heart into every flower bed and pathway, turning it into a place of beauty and peace.
Sylvia’s warmth, creativity, and selfless nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the love she gave and the lives she touched.
