Con profunda fe en la promesa de la vida eterna, compartimos la partida de nuestra amada madre, abuela, bisabuela y tatarabuela, Teolinda Rosa Villegas Riera.

Hija de José Antonio Villegas y Rosa del Carmen Riera, Teolinda construyó un hogar lleno de amor junto a su compañero de vida, Luis Augusto Vílchez Ocando. Fue la devota madre de sus cinco hijos: Meybol Villegas, Nervis Villegas de Malaver, Erwin Luis Villegas, José Antonio Villegas y Jacqueline Villegas de Flores.

Teolinda fue el pilar indiscutible de nuestra familia. Una mujer de templo fuerte y carácter decidido, cuya firmeza siempre estuvo guiada por un amor profundo, una generosidad inmensa y una preocupación constante por el bienestar y el futuro de los suyos. A través de su ejemplo, nos enseñó el valor incalculable de la dignidad, la rectitud y la unión familiar.

Su vida también fue un invaluable testimonio de vocación de servicio y lucha democrática en Venezuela. Desde 1958, como incansable dirigente político y líder sindical, defendió con valentía los derechos de los trabajadores. Alcanzó la presidencia nacional del Sindicato del Instituto Nacional de Nutrición (INN) y roles personalizados clave en la CTV y FetraZulia, dejando un legado histórico y social imborrable.

Hoy confiamos en que descansa en la paz del Salvador. Su partida deja un vacío inmenso en nuestros corazones, pero nos sostiene el profundo orgullo de su herencia familiar y política, así como la fe que nos une. Agradecemos infinitamente sus oraciones y todas las muestras de afecto recibidas en este momento.

With deep faith in the promise of eternal life, we share the news of the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Teolinda Rosa Villegas Riera.

Daughter of José Antonio Villegas and Rosa del Carmen Riera, Teolinda built a home filled with love alongside her life partner, Luis Augusto Vílchez Ocando. She was the devoted mother of five children: Meybol Villegas, Nervis Villegas de Malaver, Erwin Luis Villegas, José Antonio Villegas, and Jacqueline Villegas de Flores.

Teolinda was the unquestionable pillar of our family. She was a woman of great inner strength and resolute character, whose firmness was always guided by profound love, immense generosity, and constant concern for the well-being and future of her loved ones. Through her example, she taught us the incalculable value of dignity, integrity, and family unity.

Her life also stood as an invaluable testament to a vocation of service and the struggle for democracy in Venezuela. From 1958 onwards, as a tireless political activist and labor leader, she courageously defended workers' rights. She served as national president of the National Institute of Nutrition (INN) Union and held key leadership roles within the CTV and FetraZulia, leaving behind an indelible historical and social legacy.

Today, we trust that she rests in the peace of the Savior. Her passing leaves an immense void in our hearts, yet we are sustained by deep pride in her family and political legacy, as well as the faith that unites us. We are infinitely grateful for your prayers and all the expressions of affection received during this time.
