Terrianne Balfe Boulet, aged 70, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family and cherished friends. Born on January 16, 1955, in Hamlin, Texas, Terrianne was a devoted mother, adoring grandmother, beloved sister, and loyal friend whose strength left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
She was the daughter of Richard Vincent Balfe and Mary Dell Balfe, who preceded her in death, as did her husband of many years, Jimmy David Boulet. Terrianne is survived by her loving sons, Stephen Boulet and Justin Boulet, and her daughters-in-law, Clare Boulet and Lanay Boulet, whom she loved deeply and welcomed into her family with pride. Her legacy lives on in her treasured granddaughters: Charlotte Boulet, Leia Boulet, and Jane Boulet, who brought her immeasurable joy. She also leaves behind her faithful canine companion, Luna, who will continue to be loved and cared for by her granddaughters.
Terrianne is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Richard Lawrence (Larry) Balfe and Karen Elizabeth Pinckard. More than just family, Larry and Karen were among Terrianne’s closest and dearest friends. Their bond was marked by joy, loyalty, and steadfast support, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She also shared a close and affectionate bond with her extended family: her in-laws Kay and Greg Morgan, and her niece and nephew Brandi Norwood and Chris Morgan—who remained cherished parts of her life, reflecting the lasting connection she shared with Jimmy. Terrianne also held a special place in her heart for her niece Sammantha Lay Lengl, with whom she shared many treasured moments.
Music was an important part of Terrianne’s life. Whether it was singing for George H. W. Bush, for numerous weddings, or just in the car, Terrianne always had a song on her lips.
A lifelong learner, Terrianne attended Dobie High School, pursued studies at San Jacinto College, and earned her accounting degree from the University of Phoenix. While at San Jacinto College, she was a founding member of the W. H. Prescott Society, a distinguished academic and service organization that remains active today. Her professional journey spanned a long and respected career in revenue and accounting within the oil and gas industry, as well as a successful role as a software consultant. Her colleagues valued her for her diligence, effort, and incomparable reliability.
While Terrianne was admired for her professional accomplishments, she should also be remembered for the joy she found outside of work. She loved traveling and embraced the adventure of exploring new places. The beach was her happy place—a space of peace and laughter. She travelled all over the world from Alaska to Shang Hai, and from Italy to Peru. She shared her love of travel with her children, friends and family as she brought all of us along on her adventures. She created a sense of mystery in the world, with an irresistible hunger for the next adventure. Her love of adventure took her and her sister Karen to Machu Pichu, while her love of baseball took her across the country visiting dozens of ballparks with her brother Larry. Her family adventures were some of her most cherished memories. An avid sports fan, she especially enjoyed cheering on the Houston Astros, celebrating their victories with infectious enthusiasm. She was thrilled to be able to see her Astros make it to the World Series in person.
Throughout her life Terrianne supported everyone around her, from coaching her sons in tee ball and soccer, to mentoring young coworkers, Terrianne loved to be around people and to make them smile.
Terrianne’s greatest passion was her family, especially her grandchildren. She relished all the time she got to spend with them and poured her heart into creating memories infused with fun, silliness, and unconditional love. Her steady presence enriched the lives of all who knew her.
A memorial service celebrating her life will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Katy Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and a reception from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. She will be cremated, as she wished.
In honor of Terrianne’s generosity, the family invites donations in her memory to:
