Valorie Frances Hargrove

A cherished soul, Valorie Francis Hargrove, known to most as Bitsy, was called to heaven on December 7, 2023. She was 84 years old. Adored Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, memories of her love and warmth will be forever held in our hearts.

Valorie was born to Louis and Martha Rabel in Seguin, TX on August 20, 1939. While Valorie was still young, Louis and Martha moved their family to Houston, Texas, and made it their home. Valorie lived most of her life in Houston, Texas with her husband, George Hargrove and their three children, Mark, Dawn and Tricia. She also lived with her husband, George in San Antonio, Texas for many years before moving back to Houston to be with family. She resided at her daughter Dawn’s house until her passing. Valorie was very talented and for a time she painted. Many of her paintings adorned the walls of her home and were shared with family. She loved to decorate and kept a beautiful home where many a delicious meal were shared.

Valorie was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Martha Rabel. Her sister, Lottie Mabry, her brother, Curtis Rabel and her brother, Duane Rabel. Valorie is survived by her husband, George Hargrove; son, Mark Hargrove and wife, Michelle Hargrove and children: daughter, Dawn Hargrove Mann and husband, John Mann and children: daughter, Tricia Rushing and husband, John Rushing and daughter: and great-grandchildren. Brother-in-Law, Donald T. Mabry: Sister-in-Law, Brenda Rabel; and Sister-in-Law, Lois; and several nieces and nephews.
