

Veronique Constant, age 98, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and dear friend whose life was marked by love, adventure, and unwavering devotion to family.
Born on December 28, 1926 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Veronique spent nearly a century gathering memories, nurturing relationships, and exploring the world. A lifelong traveler, she cherished journeys near and far - collecting stories from every place she visited, from bustling cities to quiet countryside, always returning home with new wonder and warm tales to share. Her travels were not just about destinations, but about connecting with people, cultures, and the beauty of life itself.
Above all, Veronique was dedicated to her family. She celebrated their milestones, offered guidance, and created a home filled with love and laughter. Her presence was a steady source of comfort, encouragement, and joy. She took great pride in watching her family grow through generations: children she raised, grandchildren she adored, and great grandchildren who brought fresh light into her days. She also cherished her siblings and close friends, valuing the bonds that shaped her life and the support she received in return.
She is survived by her son; Gardy Constant, her daughters; Montana Chaloupka, Florence Gibson, Sheila Constant, her son-in-laws; Barry Chaloupka, Don Gibson, her grandchildren; Daniel Van Kanten, Kelvin Van Kanten, Skie Greye, Milo Greye, Scarlet Batlle, Allan Joseph, Carleen Nacier, Amanda Calloway, Spencer Brown, Oksana Constant, her great grandchildren; Gabriella Batlle, Landon Brown, Olivia Greye, Harper Greye, Santiago Batlle, Vivienne Nacier, Emmett Nacier, Avery Joseph, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband of 50 years; Andre Constant, her sons; Irvens Constant, Adler Constant, and her grandson; Karim Constant.
A service to honor her life will be held at Katy Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13th at 11am.
